Galanthus Chantry Gold Cross (Pre-Order)

A yellow-marked snowdrop from the Chantry series raised by Wol and Sue Staines at Glen Chantry in Essex. In yellow snowdrops the usual green pigment is replaced with gold, so the ovary and segment markings appear in shades of yellow, and the name suggests a cross-shaped or boldly marked yellow patterning on the inners. Firm published detail on this specific cultivar is limited, but as a yellow Chantry selection it is a sought-after rarity. Like other yellows it does best in a cool, moist, well-drained position and rewards patience as it establishes.
