Galanthus Cowhouse Green (Pre-Order)

A tall single snowdrop prized for its green-suffused flowers, with distinct lime-green streaks running down the outer segments, a bold green apical mark, and a pale green wash at the base of the inner segments. It was found as a self-sown seedling in the garden of Susan Cowdy at The Lee in Buckinghamshire, near Cowhouse Field, and was named by the French plantsman Mark Brown in the late 1980s. It flowers in late winter and, while not the fastest to bulk up, increases steadily year on year. It enjoys a free-draining yet moisture-retentive soil and dislikes both drying out and sitting too wet in summer.
