Galanthus Dryad Zeus (Pre-Order)

A striking inverse poculiform snowdrop from Anne Wright's Dryad Nursery, raised from 'Wendy's Gold' crossed with 'South Hayes'. It is easily recognised by a bold, rich green longitudinal stripe running down the centre of each outer segment, rounded towards a white-notched apex and fading to a paler yellowish-green near the base, with a slight waist that can break the mark into two. Tall and upright, it flowers at up to about 27cm under glass with arching plicate leaves and increases well from multi-nosed bulbs. With a yellow parent it also carries potential for yellow seedlings and was used to breed 'Dryad Apollo'.
